A look at some of the senseless, ridiculous things probably otherwise smart people have said, exploring the faulty, sometimes ludicrous logic behind the words.

 

Not included are uninformed opinions that seem ridiculous now, like when Dick Rowe at Decca Records told The Beatles that guitar groups are on the way out, but genuinely absurd and nonsensical notions like “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” fostered on us by so-called experts, educators, elected officials, and celebrities.
